BROWN PAPER AND MESH REMOVAL:
You may receive your glass mosaic tiles packed in a bag, paper-faced or mesh-backed, depending on the stocks available at the time of your order.  Here are some tips to remove the backing if you require loose tiles:

soak off brown paper from glass mosaic tiles - vitreousBrown Paper:
REMOVE tiles from the brown paper by soaking in cold or warm water.
Soak the whole strip or sheet in the water - or cut off as many tiles as you wish from the sheeted tiles. Leaving tiles on the sheet until needed makes for easy storage as the tiles can be stacked flat.

The tiles will slide off the brown paper when the paper is soaked.

Be gentle pulling away the paper and handling the tiles during this process, to protect chipping the tile edges. TIP:  After removing the brown paper, add a squirt of dishwashing liquid and/or white vinegar, to the soaking water to remove glue residue from the brown paper. Swish the tiles in the hot, sudsy w
ater to clean and sparkle the tiles.  (
Cold water soaking takes longer  to soak the tiles, so maybe time for a cuppa!)

MESH BACKING:
REMOVE tiles from the mesh by pulling each tile off the mesh by hand or soaking in hot water.  Remove tiles off mesh asap after soaking in hot water.
