MOSLevel is a pouring cement to create level background fills for mosaics. It flows effortlessly into spaces, adding depth, dimension, and a smooth, professional finish that enhances the overall design. Sold in 2 kg lots, MOSLevel comes in a neutral pale grey, serving as a versatile base that can be tinted with cement oxides or liquid tints for rich textures and swirls. For added artistic effects, frit can be incorporated to achieve unique visual enhancements. Perfect for poured mosaic backgrounds, MOSLevel also provides a solid foundation for intricate designs. It is best used with opaque tesserae, as it can creep into air pockets and may be visible beneath clear or translucent tesserae. Assist the pour flow with toothpicks, mini brushes etc.if needed. Mix MOSLevel with water until you have desired flow on the mosaic base.
How to Use MOSLevel: ✅ Prepare substrate – Use a stable, framed substrate or create a temporary frame or dam using tape, Blu-Tack to contain MOSLevel within design space. ✅ Pour onto the framed mosaic base for a level result or pour around installed, cured mosaic features. ✅ Apply between 3mm to 76mm thick in a single pour. ✅ Tap lightly to release air bubbles. ✅ Spray mist lightly with water for a smooth texture. ✅ Allow MOSLevel to set around installed feature mosaics before applying additional mosaic layers or decorative effects. ✅ Cover/cure in a dust-free space to prevent contamination. ✅ Work within 4deg - 40 deg C for proper curing and adhesion.
Suitable Substrates: MOSLevel can be poured over a variety of interior substrates, providing a smooth, durable surface for mosaic applications: ✅ Concrete – Ideal for direct application. ✅ Cement Mortar Beds – Works well for leveling uneven mortar surfaces. ✅ Ceramic Tile & Stone – Can be applied over existing tile and stone surfaces. ✅ Exterior Glue Plywood (Interior Only) – Suitable for plywood substrates in indoor applications.
